Product Information

Name:
Delpazolid
Synonyms:
  • Tedizolid Intermediate-4
Description:

Delpazolid is a fatty acid that has been shown to have antimicrobial properties. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis and is active against a wide range of bacteria. Delpazolid has been shown to inhibit hepg2 cells in vitro, with a concentration-time curve that parallels the growth inhibition of bacteria in vivo. Delpazolid also has a low toxicity profile and is well tolerated by humans. Clinical studies have shown that the drug is rapidly absorbed after oral administration and exhibits linear pharmacokinetics, with plasma concentrations peaking within one hour of ingestion. The drug has been found to be stable in human plasma, but it can react with diphenyl ethers to form a reactive metabolite that reacts with DNA, leading to cell death.
