Pizuglanstat is a potent, selective small molecule activator of the cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA). Pizuglanstat activates PKA and leads to the phosphorylation of downstream targets. It was designed to be an inhibitor of amyloid precursor protein (APP) proteolysis, which leads to the production of beta-amyloid peptide. It has been shown that pizuglanstat inhibits APP proteolysis in vitro and in vivo. Pizuglanstat is also a high-purity product with a purity level >98%.
