This molecule is enantioselective, which means it can be differentiated from other compounds with the same molecular formula by its different spatial arrangement of atoms within the molecule. The two enantiomers are called R and S. The isochroman-4-one structure has been modeled using computational chemistry methods, including quantum calculations and molecular dynamics simulations.
