Description:

3-Hydroxyphenazepam is a benzodiazepine derivative that was first synthesized in the 1960s. 3-Hydroxyphenazepam is used as a premedication to relieve anxiety, as a sedative for patients with chronic or terminal illnesses, and as an anticonvulsant. It is also used in veterinary medicine. 3-Hydroxyphenazepam has been shown to be effective against gaba transporter (GAT) and has been shown to have kinetic uptake in tissues, including the brain and heart.
