6α-Hydroxynidorellol is a myeloid-derived suppressor that has been shown to be effective in inhibiting the activity of granulocytic cells. This compound is found in the natural product Stevia rebaudiana, which has been used for centuries as a sweetener and flavoring agent. 6α-Hydroxynidorellol has anti-inflammatory properties and suppresses the production of TNF-α by myeloid-derived suppressor cells. It also has an inhibitory effect on PDL1, which is a receptor protein that binds to the proteins CD80 and CD86, thereby inhibiting immune responses. 6α-Hydroxynidorellol was isolated from Stevia rebaudiana and purified as a white solid.
