Meridinol is a chemical isolated from the leaves of the plant Meridia divaricata. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the enzyme balanophonin, which is involved in the synthesis of activin, an essential hormone for the development of new cells. Meridinol also inhibits other enzymes such as piperidine and sequoyitol, which are involved in cellular signal transduction pathways. This drug has not yet been tested on humans, but animal studies show that it may be effective against hyperbolic blockers.
