SKLB4771 (FLT3-IN-1) is a novel small molecule that has been synthesized to inhibit the activity of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR). It has shown efficacy in the treatment of cutaneous inflammation, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis. SKLB4771 has also been shown to inhibit IL-10 production, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects. The mechanism of action is not yet fully understood but it is thought that SKLB4771 may work by inhibiting the production of MCP-1 and other inflammatory cytokines.
