Product Information
Ciliobrevin D is a small-molecule inhibitor of the human protein cilium- and dynein-dependent motor complex. This protein complex is responsible for the transport of mitochondria, which are important for cell function. Ciliobrevin D inhibits the replication of DNA by inhibiting mitochondrial transport. Ciliobrevin D has been shown to inhibit influenza virus infection in mammalian cells, as well as chemical derivatives that mimic its activity. It also reduces cellular growth and induces apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting mitochondrial transport.
