Cyclocommunol is a n-oxide that acts as an estrogen receptor modulator. It binds to the estrogen receptor with high affinity and has a potent inhibitory effect on tyrosinase activity. The antiplatelet property of Cyclocommunol is due to its ability to inhibit platelet aggregation and adhesion, which may be related to its ability to bind to the estrogen receptors in vascular endothelial cells. Cyclocommunol also has an inhibitory effect on insulin resistance and diabetic neuropathy, which are associated with inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and atherosclerosis.
