    Product Information

    Name:Ipamorelin acetate
    Brand:Biosynth
Description:Ipamorelin acetate is a synthetic pentapeptide that was derived from the hormone ghrelin. It is used to monitor gastrointestinal motility and as a secretagogue in the treatment of acromegaly. Ipamorelin acetate binds to the ghrelin receptor, which stimulates the release of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. This peptide has linearity in the range of 0.1-100 pmol/L and can be detected with high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) or ultrasonic spectroscopy. The sensitivity for detection is typically less than 1 pmol/L. Biological samples such as serum or plasma can be used for monitoring levels of ipamorelin acetate, although it is recommended that an ELISA assay be used for quantitative measurements in biological samples. Ipamorelin acetate has been shown to stimulate food intake and normalize blood glucose levels in diabetic animals, as well as increase insulin secretion in
