Product Information
GB-1a is a chemical compound with potent inhibitory activity against the tyrosinase enzyme. It has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against hepatitis and other viruses, and has been used in the treatment of infectious diseases. GB-1a has also been shown to have anti-angiogenic effects in a mouse model of melanoma. The chemical structure of GB-1a is not yet known, but it has been synthesized by a synthetic pathway that begins with 1,4-dihydroxynaphthalene and ends with 4-(2,5-dimethylphenyl)-2-(2,5-dimethylphenyl)thiazole. GB-1a inhibits the production of melanin by inhibiting the synthesis of tyrosine and dopaquinone.
