JNK inhibitor V (JNKI-V) is a small-molecule inhibitor that inhibits the activation of JNK. The JNK signaling pathway is associated with neuronal death, inflammation, and metabolic disorders. In vitro experiments have shown that JNKI-V induces apoptosis in neurons and myocytes by inhibiting c-Jun phosphorylation. Additionally, this drug has been shown to be effective against congestive heart failure by suppressing the release of inflammatory factors. JNKI-V may also be used as a therapeutic agent for infectious diseases such as sepsis, where it can inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines.
