JNK inhibitor V (JNKI-V) is a small-molecule inhibitor that inhibits the activation of JNK. The JNK signaling pathway is associated with neuronal death, inflammation, and metabolic disorders. In vitro experiments have shown that JNKI-V induces apoptosis in neurons and myocytes by inhibiting c-Jun phosphorylation. Additionally, this drug has been shown to be effective against congestive heart failure by suppressing the release of inflammatory factors. JNKI-V may also be used as a therapeutic agent for infectious diseases such as sepsis, where it can inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines. This drug also has potential use in treating stroke or neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease due to its ability to reduce oxidative stress.
