Desloratadine-d5 is an analog of the antihistamine drug Desloratadine, which has been shown to have potential anticancer properties. This compound has been found to induce apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) that are involved in cell cycle progression. Desloratadine-d5 has been tested on human and Chinese hamster ovary cell lines, demonstrating its ability to inhibit tumor growth. This compound can be detected in urine and can serve as a biomarker for the assessment of CDK inhibitors for cancer treatment. Desloratadine-d5 may prove to be a promising inhibitor for kinase-targeted anticancer therapies.
