TC-A2317 hydrochloride has been shown to act as a high-affinity ligand for TRPC3 ion channels, with EC50 values of 0.1 nM. TC-A2317 hydrochloride has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of TRPC3 ion channels in the rat vas deferens, where it inhibits contraction by blocking calcium entry through TRPC3 channels.
