Product Information
Adenosine amine congener is a low potency adenosine analog that has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of the parent molecule, adenosine. It inhibits neuronal death in a rat model of global cerebral ischemia and can be used as a treatment for congestive heart failure. Adenosine amine congener has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties and can also be used as an analgesic. This drug also interacts with the adenosine A3 receptor, showing its potential use in neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. Adenosine amine congener binds to alkanoic acid in mitochondria, inhibiting energy metabolism, which may lead to adverse effects on the kidneys and liver when administered chronically.
