Product Information

Name:
Fingolimod-d4 Hydrochloride
Description:

Fingolimod is a drug that belongs to the class of immunomodulators. It was developed for the treatment of multiple sclerosis and other autoimmune diseases, such as Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and psoriasis. Fingolimod inhibits the immune system by binding to sphingosine-1-phosphate receptors on lymphocytes, thereby inhibiting the migration of these cells into the central nervous system. Fingolimod has been shown to reduce neuronal death in animal models due to its ability to inhibit activation of inflammatory lesions. The drug also can be used prophylactically against viral infection because it blocks entry of HIV and influenza virus into host cells.
