TMPPC has shown potential as a biomarker for fetal bovine serum (FBS), due to its reactivity with intramolecular hydrogen. The analytical method used for quantification of TMPPC is UV spectroscopy at a wavelength of 280 nm, using the absorption maximum at 265 nm.
