Erysubin B is a prenylated flavonoid that has been isolated from the plant erythrina. It is structurally related to other flavonoids, such as quercetin and kaempferol, but with an additional methyl group on the A ring. Erysubin B contains two chiral centers, which makes it a potential drug development candidate. The compound has shown inhibitory activity against pancreatic cancer cells and its ability to interact with other chemicals is being studied.
