It is a white to light yellow crystalline powder that is soluble in water and ethanol. This compound has been synthesized from 4-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)piperazine and 3,4-dihydroquinoline 2(1H)-one. This molecule has been identified as an impurity in the drug product, Cefdinir (7-(2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenoxy)propoxy)-3,4-dihydroquinolin-2(1H)-one).
