Product Information
CM-272 is a drug that inhibits the expression of genes that are involved in the growth of cancer cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bladder cancer cells and primary cells. CM-272 suppresses the expression of genes that are required for the synthesis of cyclin D1, which leads to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. CM-272 also inhibits DNA methyltransferase, which prevents methylation from occurring on histones, leading to gene silencing. This drug synergizes with other drugs in order to inhibit tumor growth by suppressing growth factors and altering histone methylation.
