Description:

Aequinetin is a mixture of fatty acids that are found in the genus Oroxylum indicum. Aequinetin has been shown to have significant antifungal activity against Cryptococcus neoformans, which is an opportunistic fungal infection of the central nervous system. This drug also has an inhibitory effect on the growth of yeast cells by binding to fatty acids and triglyceride lipase, which are important for cell cytoplasmic membrane. Animal experiments have shown that this drug can be used as a natural preservative for food products.
