Grandifloric acid (GFA) is a molecule that exhibits bioactivities such as anti-cancer, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activities. It also has been shown in clinical studies to be effective against hepg2 cells. GFA is an antioxidant and can inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species by scavenging free radicals. GFA inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the synthesis of fatty acids, which are required for cell division. GFA also has been shown to have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. The mechanism of action for these properties is not yet known.
