Product Information
Mollisorin A is a sesquiterpene lactone that was isolated from the roots of Eupatorium chinense. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex. Mollisorin A has a shift in the 1H NMR spectra that is characteristic for it, as well as other chemical shifts in the 13C NMR spectrum. These shifts are used to differentiate mollisorin A from other similar compounds, such as euponin and thymol. Spectroscopic methods have also been used to identify mollisorin A. The chemical structure of mollisorin A can be determined by a variety of spectroscopic methods, such as IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
