4-Hydroxy-α-(((3-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1,1-dimethylpropyl)amino)methyl)benzenemethanol (4OHBENZEME) is a fluorinated compound that has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect. It is a substrate for the rat liver and kidney enzymes, glucuronyltransferase and sulfotransferase, respectively. 4OHBENZEME is also able to cross the placenta and appears in maternal blood. This drug is highly lipophilic and not hydrophilic. 4OHBENZEME has been shown to be effective in animal experiments with high doses of this drug leading to clinical effects such as decreased blood pressure and an increase in muscle strength.
