Description:
Derrone-4'-methyl ether is a prenylflavonoid that has been isolated from the leaves of Sophora formosana. The molecule consists of a polyketide chain with a prenyl group at C-4 and a methyl ether at C-4'. Derrone-4'-methyl ether has been shown to be chemotaxonomically related to euchresta formosana, Euchrenone, and lupinifolin. This molecule also exhibits spectral properties similar to those of other flavanones such as prenylflavonoids.
