Product Information
Dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol is a molecule that belongs to the family of sesquiterpene lactones. It has been identified as an active compound in a number of plants, including "Eucalyptus globulus" and "Prunella vulgaris". Dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and exhibits a wide range of biological activities, such as inhibition of neuronal death, inhibition of growth factor production, and inhibition of inflammation. These effects are thought to be due to its ability to inhibit the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines or prostaglandins. Dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol also inhibits the growth of infectious bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. This may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial DNA and RNA by binding to bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA.
