Product Information
Dodoviscin I is a fatty acid that has been extracted from the roots of Glycyrrhiza uralensis. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and reduce the incidence of autoimmune diseases in mice. Dodoviscin I also protects against liver damage in experimental animals by inhibiting the production of inflammatory cytokines. This compound can be used as an antimicrobial agent for other glycyrrhiza species, including G. inflata and G. glabra, which are often found in traditional Chinese medicine. The structure of dodoviscin I was determined using spectroscopic data analysis and confirmed by comparison with other glycyrrhizin compounds.
