Description:

Genkwanin-4'-glucoside is a x-ray crystallographic, stem-like cells, and hepatoprotective compound that has been isolated from the stem of Linum. It is a diterpenoid with an epoxide group at C-6. This compound has shown to have hepatoprotective activity in rats with liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride. Genkwanin-4'-glucoside has been shown to be effective in preventing hepatic fibrosis and regenerating liver tissue by inhibiting the production of collagenase, which breaks down collagen in the extracellular matrix.
