Description:
Gossypetin-7-glucoside is a flavonol glycoside that can be found in plants of the genus Gossypium. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity, which may be due to its structural similarity to indole alkaloids and its ability to inhibit osteoclast formation. Gossypetin-7-glucoside has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on PC12 cells, which may be due to its hydroxyl group. This sugar residue can also be found in other plant species such as Equisporoside.
