- Glyasperin C
Glyasperin C is a natural product from Glycyrrhiza uralensis. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in the cells of women. Glyasperin C also inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of tyrosine to melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation. In addition, it has been shown to be a potent estrogen receptor modulator with low potency. Clinical studies have shown that glyasperin C improves skin elasticity and moisture content in women who are taking oral contraceptives or post-menopausal hormone therapy. Furthermore, dietary intake of glyasperin C extract from Glycyrrhiza uralensis is associated with reduced risk of developing enterococcal infections in children.
