Description:
Eucalyptone is a genus of plants in the family Myrtaceae. It contains many species, including Eucalyptus, which grow in Australia and Tasmania. The plant has been used as an antimicrobial agent for centuries, especially in oil solutions that are applied topically or taken internally. Flavonoid derivatives from eucalyptus have shown antioxidative activities and may be useful for treating depression. Eucalyptone is also antidiabetic and has a glycerin content of about 13%.
