Description:
Licochalcone D is a natural compound that is extracted from the licorice root. It has been shown to inhibit the methyltransferase activity of the cytosolic enzyme, leading to increased intracellular levels of Ca2+. Licochalcone D also inhibits the polymerase chain reaction and DNA binding activity. Licochalcone D has been shown to be effective in treating bowel disease and myocardial infarction by inducing apoptosis, which may be due to its ability to modulate Ca2+ levels.
