Product Information
Leucosceptoside A is a phenolic acid compound that has been shown to have anticomplement activity. Acetate extract of verbascoside has been shown to inhibit HIV replication in tissue culture. This compound has also been shown to have inhibitory properties in the preparative hplc and dry weight assays, as well as inhibiting the growth of human leukemia cells in cell culture. Leucosceptoside A is found in Verbascum species, a genus of flowering plants native to Europe, North Africa and Asia.
