Product Information

Name:
Mexoticin
Description:

Mexoticin is a coumarin derivative that has potent immunomodulatory effects. It inhibits the proliferation of human liver cells by interfering with cell cycle progression, leading to cell death. Mexoticin also inhibits the binding of coumarins to their receptor proteins, which may be due to its structural similarity with coumarins. Coumarins are known for their antiplatelet and antithrombotic activities. Mexoticin has been shown to inhibit platelet aggregation and thrombus formation in vitro, as well as endothelial adhesion and migration in vitro. Mexoticin also inhibits the production of nitric oxide (NO) in cultured cells, which may be related to its chemical structures and/or natural compounds. Mexoticin also has magnetic resonance spectroscopy properties that can be used for imaging purposes.
