Description

Masoprocol is a chemical substance that belongs to the class of benzene-1,2-diols. It has been used as an additive in animal feed and as a pharmaceutical agent. Masoprocol has been shown to have antiplatelet effects by inhibiting platelet activation, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the biosynthesis of thromboxane A2. This drug also inhibits the production of endogenous abscisic acid (ABA), leading to increased systolic blood pressure.
