Isrib is a natural compound that inhibits protein translation and induces autophagy. Isrib has been shown to have synergistic effects on cells with other compounds, such as the natural compound caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE). Isrib has also been shown to inhibit the mitochondrial membrane potential, leading to cell death.
