Product Information
(-)-Oxypeucedanin is a coumarin derivative that has been shown to have biological properties. It is an inhibitor of the drug transporter P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and is a substrate for the membrane transporter organic anion transporting polypeptide 1B1 (OATP1B1). (-)-Oxypeucedanin has been shown to be active against carcinoma cell lines, natural compounds, and oral pathogens. The compound also has anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. In addition, it can inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the ribosome, inhibiting protein synthesis. This compound binds intramolecularly with hydrogen to form oxypeucedanin monohydroxylated derivatives.
