Description

Phaseollinisoflavan is a natural compound that has shown to have antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral activities. It is a flavanoid that can be found in kidney beans. Phaseollinisoflavan has been shown to inhibit many enzymes, such as the creatine kinase, which is involved in muscle function. This compound also inhibits the production of phytoalexins when plants are under stress. When tested on gram-positive bacteria, phaseollinisoflavan was found to be more active than other antibiotics. Phaseollinisoflavan has also been shown to inhibit virus replication by binding to the viral RNA template strand and preventing it from being translated into protein.
