Petasin is a natural compound that belongs to the group of lichen acids. It has been shown to inhibit the release of eosinophil cationic protein and decrease the number of eosinophils in mice. In addition, petasin has been shown to inhibit the activity of cyclase, an enzyme that is involved in energy metabolism. There is no information about the toxicity or side effects of petasin. The analytical method for petasin has not yet been developed.
