Description

Sigmoidin B is a natural compound that belongs to the class of prenylflavonoids and has been extracted from the roots of Glycyrrhiza species. This compound has been shown to have anti-hepatitis, anti-cancer and anti-diabetic properties in vitro and in vivo, as well as a potential role in the treatment of insulin resistance. Sigmoidin B also suppresses the expression of toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells. Sigmoidin B is currently being studied for its potential as an antidiabetic drug.
