4-Amino-N-[2,6-bis(methylamino)-4-pyrimidinyl]-benzenesulfonamide dihydrochloride is a positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracer that has been evaluated as a potential imaging agent for the 5HT6 receptor. In the rat brain, 4-Amino-N-[2,6-bis(methylamino)-4-pyrimidinyl]-benzenesulfonamide dihydrochloride binds to the 5HT6 receptor with high affinity and low selectivity. It also has a short half life of about 20 minutes in humans.
