Putraflavone is an active plant secondary metabolite with a molecular weight of 267.33. It has been isolated from the root bark of Putranjiva roxburghii, which is found in India and Nepal. The chemical structure of putraflavone consists of a benzopyran-type skeleton with a hydroxyl group at C-3 and an oxygenated methoxy group at C-4. This natural product has high purity and is suitable for use as HPLC standards, screening reference materials, and quality control substances for secondary metabolites.
Putraflavone was first isolated by Indian scientists in 1967 from the root bark of Putranjiva roxburghii, which is found in India and Nepal.
