BAY 61-3606 dihydrochloride is a peptide that is used to study protein interactions. It can be used as an activator or inhibitor of ion channels and ligand-gated receptors. This agent has been shown to selectively inhibit the binding of certain proteins to other proteins in vitro. BAY 61-3606 dihydrochloride may also be used as a reagent for labeling antibodies, which are then used in immunohistochemistry.
