Description:

JNJ 10191584 is a peptidomimetic inhibitor of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. It blocks NMDA receptors by binding to their glutamate binding site and competitively inhibiting the binding of glutamate. JNJ 10191584 has been shown to be an activator of AMPA receptors and inhibitory GABA receptors in vitro. The high purity of this compound makes it a useful research tool for studying protein interactions, receptor activation, and ion channels. This drug has also been used as a ligand in antibody production against NMDA receptors.
