Product Information
Enzaplatovir is a non-nucleoside inhibitor of the viral life cycle. It binds to the surface glycoprotein, which is involved in cellular fusion, and blocks viral replication by inhibiting syncytial formation. The mechanism of action of Enzaplatovir has been shown in vitro using a monoclonal antibody that targets the virus's surface glycoprotein. Molecular docking analysis showed that the binding affinity of Enzaplatovir to the surface glycoprotein is higher than that of other antiviral drugs. Clinical studies have shown that Enzaplatovir is safe for humans and its efficacy against HIV-1 was demonstrated in vivo with a presatoviral model. Presently, Enzaplatovir is in clinical development for treatment of influenza virus infections.
