Almokalant is a small molecule that binds to and inhibits the activity of the epsilon subunit of the voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels. Inhibition of these channels leads to an increase in neuronal excitability, which may be useful for treatment of epilepsy or neuropathic pain.
