S55746 is a peptide inhibitor of various ion channels. It has been shown to inhibit the human KCNQ2/3 potassium channel and the rat alpha-1D calcium channel. S55746 is also an inhibitor of the human alpha-1A adrenergic receptor, erythrocyte beta-adrenergic receptors, and the human alpha-1B adrenergic receptor. The peptide has been shown to have high purity and excellent solubility in water. S55746 can be used as a research tool for studying protein interactions and as an antibody labeling reagent for cell biology experiments.
