Kushenol I is a natural product. It is the primary metabolite of the Kushenol-type diterpenoids and is isolated from plants of the genus Kushenia. The chemical structure of kushenol I was elucidated by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, which showed that it is a monocyclic triterpene with a unique skeleton consisting of an olefinic bond between two cyclopentane rings. Kushenol I has been used as an analytical reference material in HPLC and GC analyses. It has also been used as a research and development (R&D) tool for screening bioactive natural products and studying their mechanisms of action.
Kushenol I is available in both powder and liquid form. The liquid form can be dissolved in DMSO or ethanol to make a stock solution for use in HPLC or GC analysis. The powder form can be dissolved in DMSO, ethanol or acetone
