Description:
CGP-53153 is an inhibitor of the protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP2. The inhibition of SHP2 by CGP-53153 has been shown to result in increased proliferation of human breast cancer cells. This drug is a small molecule that binds to the SHP2 receptor, and blocks its activation by phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PIP3). CGP-53153 is a ligand for the SHP2 receptor and can be used as a research tool to study protein interactions.
